Illawarra International Judo Club has a proud history dating back to the 1960s. Our purpose-built dojo in Kembla Grange features 150 tatami on a sprung floor, providing a safe and professional training environment. Voted "2016 Best Club Dojo" by the Judo Federation of Australia.
We're a not-for-profit club with many Dan-graded coaches — all with national and international competition experience. Whether you're looking to improve fitness, learn self-defence, compete, or simply enjoy being part of a great community, there is a place for everyone here.

For under 15s. Movement, coordination, and safety. Learn breakfalls, basic throws, and groundwork fundamentals.
Mon & Wed, 6:30 PM
For 15+, all levels welcome. Focused on tachi-waza with structured drills, high-quality randori, and experienced coaching.
Tue & Thu, 6:00 PM
Elite-level technique, physical conditioning, and competition preparation for competitive judoka.
Fri, 4:30 PM
Dedicated conditioning to build strength, endurance, flexibility, and judo-specific fitness.
